The HPE Smart Array P408e-p SR Gen10 controller is a PCIe 3.0 x8 RAID adapter designed for deployment in HPE ProLiant Gen10 server platforms, including DL360, DL380, DL560, DL580, ML110, ML350, XL170r, XL190r, and XL230K models. It provides hardware-based RAID acceleration for internal SAS or SATA storage arrays in enterprise data center and rack-scale environments. The controller supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60, enabling flexible configuration for performance, redundancy, or mixed workloads. It is intended for use with an external battery module (part number 875241-B21, required separately) to enable write-back cache operation.
